forgiving on the spot

Today I was visited by a group of 3 people at our business…These three people gave me a huge sense that they were not there to shop…since my goal is always to share the Gospel with whomever I can, I patiently tried to deal with them. Before I knew it they bought a $3 item and off they went but not before they could get into my purse and take with them my wallet. So, there I was with the perfect opportunity to throw a fit or forgive them on the spot. What would I do? How would I react? Would I pass the trial considering I am in the middle of teaching James or would I cave into my spiritual exhaustion and just complain? Well, I must say that the Word of God is evidently alive in me…no sooner they walked out and I realized what they had done I beg God to forgive them and grant them what they needed above all; GRACE! Where would I be without his grace? LOST; is where I would be…it’s good to know this and to meditate on it over and over again. The most ungrateful thing one could do would be to withold forgiveness having received the forgiveness offered to us in Christ alone. Think about the last time you share in Christ’s sufferings? are you beneath suffering for the one who suffered on the cross for you? Never! may it never be! May you receive from the Lord both good and evil. Though the LORD is the essence of all good HE will use people’s evil behavior to still accomplish His perfect will in your life; therefore, submit unto HIM as the Sovereign God who is at all times in control. To HIM be all the glory forever and ever, amen!!!

Away from home

Sometimes it takes some time away from home to gather new strength and get a fresh perspective. My time with the ladies from Gracia has been quite enjoyable and fruitful. Tuesday morning I got to deliver the message the LORD had placed in my heart for them specifically. It was nice to see that so many women came out even though we met during a morning in the middle of the week. Nori, Norma, Queta are all still serving the LORD in effective leadership positions. I was very happy to find out that Gracia has become one of the venues for Calvary Chapel Bible institute. They are now offering daily classes including “Song of Solomon”, “Jeremiah, , “Romans” among others. Pastor Lucho and Nori have celebrated their 1 year anniversary and are a great newly wed couple. Their love for each other is an encouragement to the entire congregation. I sense that it would be important to keep my visits closer together so I commit to focus and try to build a missionary team for the next trip. God is really moving in the people of Peru and we must participate in order to fulfill our responsibility & unity with His Body…Girls prepare so we can come minister to many during the summer…

Monthly worship and prayer meeting

Running 4 the Gold is a ministry that serves God by biblically discipling women to be well equipped leaders. We seek to bring glory to HIM by studying His Word and living in a way worthy of the precious calling HE has placed in our lives. Among many other avenues, we gather every Monday night alongside women from diverse congregations seeking to study and encourage one another in the process of our maturity. Due to the fact that our time is limited on Monday nights we have established a monthly meeting in order to seek the LORD through collective worship and prayer. We spend a good uninterrupted few hours crying out to God in adoration, confession and petition. Please feel free to join us whenever you are able. We would love to share in this special time with you. To HIM be all the glory forever and ever, amen!

James 1

Just got home from our first study in the book of James. So glad to see some new faces joining us for this much needed study in the practical teachings of the Proverbs of the New Testament. Many challenges lie ahead…Though we have read this book many times we never cease to need the reminder specially when we are facing new trials. Will we complain? Will we be found trusting in God or wanting answers from different sources? This is the challenge for now. Seek the Lord and ask HIM to grant you the wisdom to learn from the trial you are in so that you may be perfect and mature lacking nothing….

Off to Peru

Our trip is right around the corner…Rob and I are so excited to be able to step away from our routine and just enjoy whatever it is the LORD has in store for us. For him it’s a time to relax and leave everything in the hands of my family who will have everything planned before we even arrive. For me it’s a time to revisit many of the challenges I left behind the last time I visited. My first meeting is with the women of Gracia Calvary Chapel who have already forwarned me are in need of having their gardens watered. This all goes back to my first preaching out of Isaiah 58. The challenge was to remain active in our faith in order to become a well-watered garden unto God Isa 58:11.
So, after a bit more than a year I am heading out with excitement to see what is going on in their lives. I am hoping to find much more faith, unity and maturity. Of course they will be looking to me to see if I have progressed as well. Last year has strechted me in so many ways and I do believe my faith is stronger, my character more balanced and my vision more clear. I will keep you all posted as we cross over through the challenges this visit shall bring us…love in Christ, gabie

A night on the town

Nothing like coming together for a little worship with a bunch of believers from different congregations…that is what the “Coffee Scene” is all about every Tuesday evening and once a month on Fridays. We were joined by Kimmie and her mom who are visiting from PA as well as Christina Vidal whom we hadn’t seen in quite a while…what a night of Joy!!! George, owner of the coffee scene is a natural at making everyone feel at home. His gift of hospitality is well used through this wonderful place of meeting. Please consider what a positive impact we can make in our community by coming together like this through songs and showing Christ in us by the love we have for one another…
To HIM be all the glory<

12 week study in the book of James

After a year of in-depth training on Christian doctrine we feel it’s time to put our faith through the fine tooth comb of the book of James.  This is the proverbs of the New Testament and we are is desperate need of wisdom.  I did my homework and sent each teacher the portion that was alotted to them.  I really am so glad to have invested in the lives of a few people who are now finding and exercising their God given gifts in order to equip the Body for works of service until we are all mature in Christ.  It’s a shame that the church of today tries so hard to reinvent the much needed process of training up a believer.  We are commanded to make disciples but are too busy counting how many converts we might have saved as if it depended on us anyway.  How incredibly far we have come from following the Master’s lead.  May we never fall into the trap of thinking we could be wiser than God…we will disciple others through sound doctrine as we share our lives with them…in HIM we have victory!!!

Our new radio program

We have started a radio ministry on www.1080wmcu.com.  We chose to start doing a Spanish show due to the fact that a few members of the team are currently serving in a Spanish congregation @ “New Testament Baptist” in Davie, Fl.  The congregation is small and very ready to receive any new members who might be in need of sound teaching as well as godly discipleship.  Though Running 4 the Gold, Inc. has been serving the community through studies in English, it’s time to expand and serve the LORD in any which way HE leads.  We are delighted with the opportunity and look forward to all it will bring.  To HIM be all the glory forever and ever amen.

A New Beginning

We would like to formally introduce Gabriela Goni from Compassion in Action Ministries. She recently contributed to a featured article called ‘Fraught with Danger Pt. 2: Friendships Between Single Women/Married Men’.

Gabie is a wonderful sister in the Lord full of God’s Spirit and Love. Gabie has a wonderful testimony of God’s faithfulness and power to transform. We want to share it with you today. We pray that it encourages and inspires you. Most of all we hope that you know that what our Lord has done for Gabie and all of the women of WeUsed2bu He can do for you.

What is that He has done for us? He has saved us and redeemed us from our sins. He has set our feet on The Rock, Jesus Christ the Messiah and Savior of the world. We have peace and live free in Christ Jesus, no longer slaves to the world, but willing slaves of righteous in Christ Jesus.

He is no respector of persons. He can do do the same for you. All you have to do is ask, just like we did. Just like Gabie did. Here is her story..
